Sunday afternoon Mom, Dad, and Ava went to Bridgette's house for dinner with Bridgette and her Mom and Dad. The girls played together for a couple of hours before dinner and we went to a park. The made volcanoes in the sand because they have been learning about them in school.
Ava has been learning about the earth in school. She is especially interested in volcanoes. Sunday was one of the first really nice days of Spring here in Nor-Cal and Ava and Dad played outside in the backyard. Ava put on a pair of 3-D glasses and said that she was going to collect some rocks. Dad explained that is what a geologist does.
Pictures like this have been posted before, but they are always cute. Her hair is finally getting long enough that it looks especially cute in pigtails. When Ava was younger she would never leave anything in her hair for more than a few minutes, but now she will leave her pigtails or barrettes in all day long at school.
Ava had Bridgette over to the house last week for some playtime. The two of them play really well together. They played princess dress up.
Dad forgot to post this sooner but better late than never. In January when they celebrated Ava's birthday at school they also made her "child of the week". The do that for the week of the child's birthday. The parents help make a photo board of pictures and they put it up in the classroom. Then the children spend some time learning about their child of the week. Here is Ava's photo board. If you click on it you should see a bigger image. Mom did the photos and helped arrange the board and Ava decorated with stickers.
