Saturday was Mom and Dad's Wedding at St. Lucy's. Ava and Amelia were the flower girls. Amelia's little sister was also a flower girl and Sarah was the ring girl. Ava and Amelia had just watched Prince William and Kate's wedding and wanted to help with the train. The wedding was very beautiful and everybody was well behaved. Afterwards we all went out to dinner at a steak house. It was a very special day for Mom and Dad.

Happy Easter! Ava got up and found her Easter baskets right away and helped Sarah too. Then outside for an egg hunt in the backyard. Ava was really thrilled and got nice Easter presents from Auntie Tara, Mimi and Papa, and Grandma and Grandpa. Then it was off to Church where she told Fr Kevin, "Christ is Risen!" and he was quite impressed and responded "He has risen indeed!". We visited Ava's friend Bridgette in the afternoon. Mom cooked a delicious ham dinner and Dad tried to fix the window in his truck. 
Last Sunday was Amelia's birthday party at Happy Hollow zoo in San Jose. Ava was not a fan of the zoo part because she did not like the smell. She was holding her hand over her nose before we even got into the park. So we skipped the animals. Of course she did enjoy the few rides that they had. Here is Mom and Ava on the roller coaster. Notice that Mom is hanging on and Ava is going "No Hands"!
Sarah just loves to be sitting in a pile of toys! This is her toy bin, she will sit and sort through them for hours. Her favorite toys is a ball.
Ava has been taking a music class. Saturday her class had a performance. They did three songs and Mom, Dad, and Sarah were proud that Ava was one of the most enthusiastic ones. She had been practicing a lot at home and knew all of the words. On stage she was the loudest and most animated. We could tell that she was really enjoying herself.
Sarah like her little walker. She can cruise around the floor and reach up and pull on things. Mom also found her trying to stick her fingers in the electrical outlets! So those are not safely protected!
Ava has completed all 10 of the PreK reading books. The books were actually quite simple compared to what she can actually read. Now we are going to work on sight words and spelling. She might even start on some Kindergarten reading too.
Saturday night Mom and Dad went to the Gala Dinner and Auction for Ava's school. It was a good time and gave Mom and Dad the chance to dress up. Mom looked beautiful! Ava and Sarah stayed home with the sitter. Mom and Dad got back home after 11pm and found that Ava was asleep on the couch!
Mom got Sarah out in the yard and let her play in the grass. She like being outside, but really she just likes all of her toys. She can sit in a pile of toys for quite a long time and just keep picking them up one after the other.
Sarah is big enough now to sit in the stroller. She likes to be sitting up and watching what is going on. Here she watched Dad wash the cars and Ava play in the water.
Saturday was a beautiful day. Dad finally washed the cars because he thinks that the rain is over. Ava took the opportunity to play outside in the water. She took a "bath" with her Polly Pockets and Princesses.
Ava has a new favorite game that we play every night. It is a Disney Princess game where you have to collect jewelry and a crown. The jewelry is real and can be worn, such as earrings that clip on. Sometimes even Dad wears the jewelry.
Mom donated a butterfly kit to the school so that the class could see how caterpillars hatch into butterflies. Here is Ava and her friend Patrick helping to put the caterpillars and their food into cups. The chrysalis and cocoon are getting bigger then they will transfer them to a little "net" house where they will hatch into butterflies. Still a few weeks away.
Mom's blue-eyed cat Simon! Sarah also likes Simon quite a bit. He will actually go near her and lay down because he likes her blanket. Then she will grab two handfulls of fur and pull. But he doesn't mind, he is just happy to be on the blanket!
Ava was very interested in April Fool's Day this year. Her and Mom got a Whoopie cusion that Ava made Dad sit on. Mom had a flower that squirted water. Ava had a little fake jar of nailpolish that looked like it was spilled on the floor. Ava played on Sunday with her friend Margaret and they had fun playing with the Whoopie cusion too!
